A new reality.

Today was a good but tiring day for Ellie.  She had school, therapy, & Tutoring.  By the end she was exhausted.  I spent some time today going through some pictures.  They were from last year before our nightmare became a reality.  I found myself tearing up because I cannot believe that it was only a few months ago.  Ellie was such a happy child and now she is a content child for the most part with some very sad moments.  I can only spend so much time looking back at the past we now need to focus on the future and getting Ellie back to a happy child.  Tomorrow is Chemo day at Children’s memorial.  It’s a hard day for us but I do miss all the nurses and Doctors.  They always make me smile.  It takes a very unique and special person to work with severely ill children and remain in good spirits every day.  God bless those people that do it because they make it much easier on us as parents.  Tonight’s going to be an early night so we can get an early start in the morning.  I hope she does as well with the needle poke at the hospital as she did this past week with the in home therapy.  Also please pray that her counts have come back up so she can be administered the Chemo.
