An amazing school year, difficult weekend.

This has been a difficult weekend for many reasons.  Ellie’s counts are low and this makes it very difficult for her and us.  It makes it hard on her because she is tired and cranky, Difficult on us because we worry about her getting a brain bleed constantly.  It’s a difficult line that we must walk with Ellie; we always have to be careful while trying to let her be a kid.  But she has really been a rock star lately; she has been going to full days of school for a couple of weeks now.  And I must say she has been doing fantastic.  Mostly I give credit to her teacher that has made this year an amazing experience for Ellie.  Mrs. Duffy has made Ellie’s year one that will always be close to my heart and remembered.  It’s bitter sweet that Ellie and Jake are done with school tomorrow.  I will miss both there teachers for they both had wonderful teachers this year that truly love and care for them.  Despite the difficulties this community has had with getting funding for the schools, we still have the best teaching staff that are caring.  Tomorrow is going to be a hard day for me because I am unable to bring Ellie to her last day of school.

I must say how proud I am of Ellie she has completed 2nd grade and has improved so much this year.  She is such a strong girl and goes with the flow.  How things have changed in the past year.

This is because this weekend I feel down my front porch steps and broke my Ankle.  I have fallen several times down them and I think its gods way of saying its time to get the front steps fixed.  The landing is not up to code, now I can see why they have codes in place.  But on the better news although I am unable to put weight on it, I was able to get a boot cast instead of a cast.  I still am unable to put pressure on it but with lots of prayers hoping that I feel quickly.

Tomorrow Ellie will be getting her counts checked by the nurse and seeing if a transfusion will be necessary.  The nurses are pretty positive we will have to go down to children’s to get a transfusion.  It will be our last visit to the old Children’s Hospital.

I also added more pictures from Ellie's surprise my little pony Birthday.  Thanks again to the teachers and all the parents that helped with this.
