What a great day on Friday excluding the cold and rain.  We started our day off having lunch with my cousin and her kids at McDonalds playland.  Then we all went to the zoo.  We laugh so much because we could not believe that the weather conditions and that we were at the zoo.  My cousin pushed a wagon and I pushed a stroller for the kids to sit in.  Unfortunately we didn’t think threw it and they were both soaked so the kids did not want to sit in them.  It was one laugh after another, what a great time. I was determined to do something special with the kids for spring break.  I was sick the first few days of spring break with my wisdom teeth and then Ellie had chemo, so that left Friday. We only visited the monkeys and the reptile house and we had enough.  We were wet and cold.

After the zoo we stopped by Ellie's friends Kaya's house and the kids played for a short while.  Then we went to the movies to see Hop.  Kids had a great time but they were really tired by the end of the night.  So was I, that’s why I didn’t blog last night, sorry.

Ellie received a bean box from her friends Zoe and Ali to help her with her SI.  She loves it.  She even is letting her little pony’s play in the beads.

Ellie is losing more and more hair each day so today I decided to take her to get her hair cut so at least the strands of hair are a little shorter and her hair looks fuller.  We had her hair cut at Jeffrey Lamorte in Lemont.  Usually the hair cuts are $15.00 for kids.  They are doing a special fundraiser for the Ellie Fund on April 17th kids hair cuts for $10.00 and they will have ice cream sundaes for the kids.  They are accepting appointments or walk ins.

Don’t forget tomorrow is the big day,
Pancake Breakfast for Ellie at Cross of Glory Church.
You can come to church at the 9:00am, 10:45am or just come after church for pancake breakfast, crafts, and concert after the church service.  I believe it works like this.  They are just asking for a donation for the pancake breakfast, there is a small fee for the kid’s crafts, the concert is free, and they will have some awesome Auction, and raffle baskets. And all proceeds will go to the Ellie Fund to help pay Ellie's crazy medical bills.  Hope to see lots of you there.  Ellie and our family will be attending the 10:45am service and staying for the other activities.  We are very excited it should be a great time for all.  Ellie and Jake are looking forward to it.

Lastly I want to thank everyone that has been or has attended one of Ellie’s Events.  I cannot tell you how much it means to our family, I cannot thank everyone enough.  We feel so loved.

P.S. Check out the video of Jake.  He wants to be in a boy band.  You can see why he makes me smile every day.  What a cutie.
