Blizzard 2011 is among us.

2/2/2011

Comments

What a Night and Day.  Blizzard 2011 is among us.  Last night Dave, myself and the kids slept in the family room.  We were worried about the large tree next to our house. With the high winds it could come through the roof into our bedrooms.  Although the kids had a great time, Dave and I didn’t get much sleep.  Dave had to wake up at 2am to go to work.  He actually is still at work now at 5:15 hopefully he will be home in a few hours.

Jake has been so cute. He is like a weather reporter, last night he was pointing to the map on TV and explaining to Dave and I what was going on.  Ellie still can’t go out and play in snow and Jake doesn’t want to.  Jake hit some cabin fever about 4 hours ago.  Winter and Jake don’t mix well; he has way too much energy.

I got to say I am glad we got to experience this historical Blizzard.  Everyone has been enjoying it. It’s like a ghost town outside, pretty cool.  The one thing I have to say is that noticing from Facebook posts its awesome how everyone is coming together to help dig each other out.  I know my Mom and Dave brought their snow blower over after they cleared their driveway, they cleared ours.  Then they continued on to my sister’s house and then helped out a neighbor.  We got word a few hours ago that there is no school tomorrow again.  Maybe Jake will be up to going out and playing in the snow tomorrow.

Everyone Stay Safe and Enjoy the snow.
