Chemo Day and more..

5/12/2011

Sorry for not writing after Chemo yesterday.  I actually decided to take Jake to swim lessons.  Usually Dave takes him but he asked me if I would do it.  I feel for him sometime he is put to the side as we deal with Ellie.  He really does try to be a good boy.  So Ellie decided she wanted to go watch swim lessons with me.  So we got to swim lessons and then the storm hit.  Needless to say the kids were not able to get into the pool so we had to do a safety training hour with them.  Jake sitting still for one hour, yeah well it didn’t go so well.  Ellie was so tired she was laying on my lap, while Jake was getting into trouble for disrupting.  Oh well we tried.

Yesterday’s Chemo went pretty well.  They actually moved our MRI up from June 8th to May 24th.  They need to check to see if the Chemo is working before the next round of Chemo.  We were supposed to have two weeks off from going downtown but I guess it’s just two weeks off of Chemo.  We will be going down Tuesday and Wednesday of that week.  I just hope the drugs don’t knock her out like they did last time she had an MRI.  I am anxious to find out the results but we don’t have an appointment with the neurosurgeon till June 15th.  I feel like a human calendar.  I am actually lost without my calendar.

As for today, Ellie woke up not feeling so hot.  This seems to be the theme of her Thursdays lately.  She usually is sick, tired, and in pain in the morning and it wears off by afternoon.  I hope she gets better by this afternoon for tutoring.

I am also requesting that everyone pray for a little boy that is a family friends Nephew.  He is going through brain surgery today.  Please keep him and the family in your thoughts and prayers. His name is Matthew, and he is three.

For now I wish everyone a very well and blessed Thursday.
