Flooded ugh..

6/9/2011

Comments

So I was hoping to wake up this morning refreshed and ready to take on the day with smiles.  Unfortunately I had a set back today.  I woke up to find my front yard, backyard, garage flooded.  So I called my sister and she told me my mom’s basement was flooded.  I had to get the kids dressed and go over to my sisters to watch her kids so Keith (my brother-in-law could come and start pumping out the water.)  The water was up to 4 inches and rising.  Dave then called his boss to get a few hours off to come home and help.  Well things went from bad to worse when our downstairs started to flood.

I was at my sisters watching the five kids when I got the call from Dave.  I had a melt down at that point.  All my scrapbooks, pictures, and tons of other memorabilia were downstairs.  What a mess.  Dave had to end up taking the rest of the day off and just got done working downstairs.  He tore up our carpeting and we are just hopeing that we don’t have to tear out the drywall.  My house is a disaster.  Needless to say today was a very bad day for the Cuiching family.  I’m so tired of 2011, things have to start turning around soon.  Ellie and Jake were fighting for most of the day because of the storms kept them up last night.  But besides all these setbacks Ellie had a pretty good day.  I still have yet to break the news about the hearing aids.  I was going to work on it today and then everything else became a priority.  I feel bad for my mom she actually had almost 20 inches of rain her basement.  Prayers and hopes to everyone in Lemont that was affected by the storms last night.
