I'm in good spirits.

I am in really good spirits today.  I guess Ellie and I are taking turns.  She had a very busy day with school, therapy, a tutoring attempt, and finishing out the day with a bath.  She had a really rough patch with tutoring today not sure if she is in pain or just tired.   We had to cancel tutoring midway through because she was not having it AT ALL.   Oh well tomorrow is a new day.

Jake on the other hand was a ham today.  Dave and I could not stop laughing at him and boy was he eating it up.  That kid knows how to turn on the charm for sure.  He said to us today in a really enthusiastic voice “I Love Sports.”  Then we showed him a picture of three balls a basketball, soccer ball, and football.  We asked him which his favorite was.  He said “ya know that b-b ball” and pointed at the basketball.  Yeah that’s right Jake you love sports so much that you don’t even know the names of the balls.  And I really must tell you he truly doesn’t love sports.  I know it might not sound funny to others but Dave and I couldn’t stop laughing.  I guess you would have had to be there.

Tomorrow Ellie, my mom, and I are starting our journey downtown nice and early 6:15am.  That’s right you heard me, the crack of dawn.  Dave works in the city tomorrow morning also; too bad we can’t car pool.  Anyhow I pray tonight that Ellie handles the Chemo well and she doesn’t get too sick.  I also pray that she will be brave little girl.  Ellie got a doll that also has a port and we played doctor the other day.  We took the needle off the butterfly that attaches into the port so we wouldn’t scare her.  It’s not so much the pain it’s more of the look of the needle that freaks Ellie out.  Anyhow wish us luck as we begin a crazy year.  Peace and love from the Cuiching Family.
