long weekend

Wow what a long but pretty good weekend.  I babysat two of my sister’s kids for most of the weekend.  It all started off with picking Ellie up from school on Friday with five kids.  Then we all traveled over to Speech for Ellie.  It was a crazy but fun.  We then headed to Camp.  My mom runs a Taekwondo away camp in Frankfort every year.  This was the weekend for it.  I helped them out Friday night and then enjoyed the bon fire at camp.  We then headed home pretty late that night.

Saturday came and Jake was begging to go back to camp.  Luckily my mom & sister run the camp so he was able to go for the day.  While Jake went to camp I traded for two of my sister’s kids, Kenton 3, Karson 2.  I actually went to a store with Ellie and both boys, surprisingly they were absolute angels.  It was a very good day but I spent the rest of the evening sleeping because I was so tired. Thanks to Dave for letting me rest.  I got a phone call later in the evening telling me Jake wanted to spend the night with my Mom at camp.  So he stayed the night and had a blast the entire time at camp. I was very concerned I was going to get a phone call on Saturday to come pickup Jake, from what I understand he did awesome at camp.

Finally here we are on Sunday.  Picked Jake up at camp and brought him strait to a play date we have had scheduled for weeks.  We then picked him up and we went bowling with a couple of Ellie’s Friends to celebrate Ellie’s Birthday.  Ellie had her ups and downs throughout the bowling.  Ups, scoring a strike while bowling and downs, having a few melt downs.  But all and all she had a great time.  I on the other hand also had a pretty good time.  I did struggle a little when we sang Happy Birthday to her.  So many things went through my head as we sang to her.  I often wonder how many birthdays she has left if any after this one.  Today I made a wish before she blew out her candles that she will have 90 more birthdays.   Sorry if this is not my best post, but it’s been a long weekend and I’m just ready for bed.

Love and prayers for Ellie…
