MRI reslults...

5/27/2011

Comments

So I have been getting many, many phone calls about what the MRI results are for Ellie.  As promised as soon as I received the results I would post them on my Blog.  I just got off the phone with the nurse from Children’s.  They informed me that Ellie’s tumor is stable..  They also informed me that the dimensions have gone up in the tumor.  Basically they told me it has grown a miniscule amount and we should be happy and focus on the stable part.

I am having a really hard time focusing on the stable when the tumor in actuality has grown slightly.  The doctors seem to be happy with the results but as a mother I am struggling with being happy.  As I sit here Im tearing up about it, it is so hard.  I know the doctors have prepared me that this tumor will not shrink, but I just was really hoping for a miracle.  For now we just need to hope and pray that over the next year god works miracles on my sweet child.   This is very difficult for me so I ask that if you see me out and about; please do not ask me about how Ellie is doing.  At least for the next few weeks.   I really think I am strong enough to hold it together.  For now we will continue on our Chemo treatments and we will have another MRI in 10 weeks.

On a more positive note my wonderful Jake graduated preschool today.  He was such a proud little guy.  I will have to post pictures later.

Thank you for everyone’s love and support.   Please keep the prayers for Ellie coming.

P.S. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT WE DO NOT DISCUSS ANY OF THIS INFRONT OF ELLIE.  We need to sheild her from this news.  So please, please be aware of who is around when speaking of this.  Including your childrens.  Thank you for your understanding.
