Oh my what a day..

Have you ever had a day where you wanted to build a brick wall just so you can hit your head on it? ;o).  Yep today is one of those days.  Ellie did not go to school today because she was too tired and not feeling well.  She had a little burst of energy in the afternoon so I asked her to put two of her toys in her room.  Well that went ok but when it was time for tutoring Ellie was so tired she didn’t last.  She kept on saying to me “Mom why did you make me do all that cleaning, it made me tired.”  Poor CinderELLIE.  As we have been told that she is special and we should treat her that way but also keep rules.  My number one rule, do not leave your toys in the middle of the family room.  Anyhow so far not a bad day but not a good one either, just mediocre.

So then we sat down for dinner as a family.  Boy that was not fun at all.  Ellie started to whine and cry.  She refused to eat which put her in an even worse mood.  Half way through dinner that’s about when I felt like building a brick wall to bang my head against.  I made it through dinner but we had no groceries in our house. So we decided to go to Costco.

As I’m sure you have read in the previous post, my ATM card had been compromised so they cancelled it.  No biggy, I just brought Dave along to pay with his card.  Well so I thought no biggy.  We spent about an hour battling Jake through Costco.  Dave threatened to take Jake out to the car.  Everytime I had to remind him he was paying.  Then we pull up to the front of the store after filling our cart with the list of things.  Dave says “Hey Jake lets go look over here while mom checks out.”  Once again I reminded him no you need to pay.  Well that is when he informed me that he didn’t know his pin number.  REALLY? REALLY DAVE? Ok as some of you might know you either need to pay with ATM, Check, Cash, and American Express.  Well we didn’t have any of the following.

Dave then said well you haven’t called to find out my ATM code.  Yep you heard me right he said I have not called on HIS ATM card. (Please keep in mind I am in charge of all bills, all doctors apt., cleaning, school work, scheduling, chemo, pretty much everything but lawn) As steam shot out of my ears and nose we started to walk out of Costco.  Then the kids started to scream “where our stuff”.  Jake cried “I want my Orange Juice.”  Everyone was staring at us as we left the store. Let’s just say I was slightly embarrassed and disappointed.  Actually correction EXTREMELY disappointed because tomorrow I get to go do it all again.  This time by myself with two kids, possibly five.  I am babysitting my sister’s kids tomorrow.  So yes today was a day when you just want to build a brick wall so you can hit your head against it.  I really need to go to bed and wake up on the right side.
Thanks for listening me vent.  I promise tomorrow will be a better day.
