Pretty darn good day..

Today was a great day.  Not only was the sun shining but, I had a smile on my face throughout the day.  Today was one of those days I forgot the predicament we are in.  Ellie had a wonderful day.  She is coming back to me and becoming more and more like herself.

I was really tired though from staying up and watching the news coverage about the killing of Bin Ladin.  Today I feel proud to be an American.  But I can’t help but wonder and be concerned about retaliation.  I think anyone that lives close to a big city has a little unsettling feeling.  I know that every week as I pass the sears tower (whoops sorry Willis Tower) on the way to children’s I will have thoughts of concern.  But for now we can celebrate for all the families that lost someone on Sept. 11th.

Ellie’s song is done and on the website.  You can get the complete song to download for a donation.  You name the price.  It is a great song.  Thanks to my Uncle Barry, he wrote it, and he and his band sang it, sent it out to be digitally mastered.  All donations will go to the Ellie Fund to help with her medical bills.

Here are some funny dialogs with my kids that happened in the past two days

I said “Jake did you finish your second serving of spaghetti?”

Jake “Yep I’m a food taster”

Me yep “Jake you are a spaghetti conosur”

Dave “Jake, we love you, you make us laugh.”

Ellie, sounds as its spelled “You made me so fuserated”

I love when kids use big words but can’t pronounce them.  It should have been Frustrated.

Ellie said “Mommy how is your day”

I said “pretty good”

She goes “because today is Sunday. You know what that means? It’s your day”

I said “well than it is an awesome day, thanks Ellie for making it my day”

She has a new thing were Dave and I get turns of who’s day it is.  You ask what do we get? Nothing but the best gift ever. Love from Ellie.

We have had lots of giggles and laughs around our household the past two days.

Today was a great day I hope you enjoy the video with the shortened version of Ellie’s Song.

Peace, hugs, and prayers for my sweet Ellie.
