pretty good day

Today was a busy but good day. Ellie had a few melt downs today
after school. I discovered that she just overdid it today, she was tired.
Everyday my Ellie is getting more and more back to herself. It makes me so
happy to see the progress. A few months ago I was preparing myself for having
the new Ellie forever. My Ellie is so thoughtful, kind and loves to please
people. She is an amazing little girl and we feel so blessed to have her in our
  lives.
Tonight we had curriculum night at school. It was bitter sweet. We
absolutely adore her 2nd grade teacher and totally enjoyed seeing all the
projects she has been working on. But at the same time it kept on running
through my head how much more advanced 2nd grade is and if she is going to be
able to handle it. She made a life size paper cut out of herself.

Mrs.
Duffy is so sweet and kind and Ellie has really taken to her. Mrs. Duffy told us
tonight that she has really opened up to her. She even told her about her wig
she is getting. Ellie still thinks she is getting a red wig. Not sure how to
burst that bubble, but really red wig for an Asian kid. That would really draw a
little attention. But I'm glad she is excited about her wig, Hair club for Kids
likes to call it a head of hair. I feel like I am in the waiting position so
much and I HATE WAITING. I am the most impatient person ever. We are waiting for
the Head of Hair and we are still waiting to hear back from Make a Wish
(supposedly it’s been submitted we are just waiting for the cruise line to
approve her wish). Tomorrow we go downtown to meet with Ellie's Medical Team.
Although I am glad we are doing this before the weekend I am not looking forward
to the drive downtown tomorrow. It is what it is and we do what we have to do.

All and all it was a busy but good day.
