Relaxing Mothers Day..

What a great mother’s day, thanks to my husband.  He really tried to make it a relaxing mother’s day for me.  Dave cleaned my mom’s kitchen for her and tried to keep the kids occupied for most of the day.   It was very relaxing except for a moment in my day when my mom told me that one of our really good friends called.  There three year old nephew was being rushed down to Children’s memorial for a golf size brain tumor.  My heart just sank; it brought back so many feelings and memories from the day we were rushed down to Children’s.  I am praying for that family that they can remove the tumor and that chemo will not be necessary. Besides that news, the rest of the day went pretty smoothly.

 

We got to spend our day up at the lake.  Ellie and Jake went on their first boat ride of the season.  It makes me so happy to see Ellie enjoy herself doing different things.  I think we took for granted our children’s faces lighting up with smiles before Ellie’s tumor.  Not anymore will I take it for granted to see them having fun and enjoying themselves. We are going to enjoy every moment we have with them.
