Smiles and tear this weekend, but overall a goodone.

What a roller coaster of a weekend, with many ups and downs.  Luckily we had more ups than downs.  We had a very full weekend.  Saturday we unfortunately Ellie unable to attend the annual roller skating party.  So Jake went with my sister to the skating party while Ellie, Dave, & I went to my cousin’s house.  It was her baby boys 1st birthday.  Ellie did her typical fight with mommy about eating routine which I would imagine is not going to get better with the Chemo treatment.  She had a complete melt down.  Then it caused me to cry.  Great Grandma George & Aunt Kyle came to her rescue with a McDonalds Happy Meal.  I know not the healthiest thing in the world but the doctors insist on letting her eat whatever she will.  She needs to maintain 90% of her weight or they will put a feeding tube in her.  Needless to say it’s going to be rough keep Jake on a healthy diet when Ellie gets to eat whatever she wants.  We will just have to wait and see how things pan out.

Today my mom and sister took the kids to Church while letting Dave and I sleep in.  That was the best gift she could have given us.  We so needed sleep.  Then we spent the day doing house work.  We got a little break when one of Ellie's little friends Kaya and her mom stopped by for a few, and dropped off some clothes for the kids.  Jake was so excited he immediately went and put on the bad Spiderman costume they brought over for him.  Never a dule moment with Jake.

Then my dad took the kids and of course us to Chuckie Cheeses for my nephew Kolton’s birthday.   I was a nervous wreck having Ellie around so many people.  I followed her with my arms surrounding her head.  I’m sure allot of people thought I had something wrong with me.  But believe it or not she survived and had a great time.  Lots of smiles out of her.  She even ate some pizza.  We then came home to some great food my Aunt made us, much better than Chuckie Cheese pizza for sure.

I forgot to add, Ellie lost her second tooth at Chuckie cheeses tonight.  Very exciting night for Ellie, thanks Dad.  So a busy but, good weekend.  We are counting down till Wednesday when Ellie has her surgery to implant her portacath.  This is how she will be getting her Chemo weekly.  As soon as I know what time I will be posting it on here.  Thanks again for everyone’s love, support, & prayers.  We will need them for the next year or so and then some.  So please don’t give up on us Ellie needs every prayer she can get.
