ups and downs and blessed with wonderful people

The past couple of days have been filled with ups and downs.  Mostly the downs consisted of Ellie being so cranky and tired.  They have not drawn blood since last week but I can just tell that her blood counts are low from her personality.  I cannot wait till she is a little happier.  We had a great day yesterday.  Ellie and I were asked to attend a board meeting to meet some very special people.  We got to meet the people putting together the the Little Hands Big Hearts Summer Fest.  They wanted to award Ellie with some gifts and a generous donation to the Ellie Fund.  I cannot thank Little Hands Big Hearts foundation and Caldwell Banker of Joliet for making our family feel so special.  They also gave Jake a little gift too.  I did feel bad because Ellie has not been her sweet self lately including yesterday.  They also gave Ellie a gift certificate to build a Bear; I thought it might cheer Ellie up if we went yesterday to get her a bear.  She was very happy to be there building her bear.   She even picked out a flower girl dress for her bear.  This truly made her day. 

On other exciting Cuiching News, Jake lost his first tooth yesterday.  Well not without help from Mom.  I actually pulled it out.  He has been complaining about it hurting for a week now because it has been loose so I decided to yank it out.  You have to see the pictures from right after I yanked it out.  I will post the pictures below; it is very funny and cute.  We also are expecting some very special visitors tomorrow.  Aunt Myrtle and Matt are coming to visit us from California.  So we are looking forward to an exciting weekend with them.  I will write more tomorrow for now I need to get some sleep.
