Now on to the blog Sorry I did not post last night, by the time I got home it was 11pm from the shop for Ellie event. Thank you so much for Sue Hogan for putting it together. Also thank you for everyone who attended. It was really good to get a night out and enjoy myself. At the end of the night right before we walked out the door we got word that my Great Uncle Dan past away. My heart breaks for my grandma and grandpa as they deal with the loss of their brother in-law. When things like this happen it makes me think that something is going to happen to my grandparents. I have 4 grandparents and I could not imagine a day without a single one of them. They mean the world to me. My one 89 year old grandpa jokes all the time that he might not make it to 90yrs. I keep telling all my grandparents they are not allowed to die. That we are only aloud one tragedy a year in our family and Ellie jumped on it first thing this year so too bad for them they have to live another year. Well onto much more exciting things, I wanted to thank my uncle butch and Aunt Kyle for coming out this morning and looking at our laundry room. Exciting that it’s going to be fixed soon, thanks Uncle Butch. Also my dad is actually on his way here to help Dave replace a door that has been sitting in my basement for a year. How exciting that things are getting done around here. Ellie really wants to have my family and her cousins over for a pool party so it’s important that a few things get fixed first. Anyhow back to my sweet Ellie. She is doing really well today. I am so proud of how she is handling the chemo. I would never handle it as well as she is. But the real star of this blog today is my little 5 year old Jake. Yesterday I got a call from Jakes teacher to tell me a little funny tad bit about Jake. So I’m going to do the best to describe this so you understand. I also have a picture to go with above. Jake was really anxious to go to school yesterday. He was waiting 40 min early at the door for the bus. He kept on asking me "mom what is taking the bus so long" I thought nothing of it; I was just so excited that he was happy to go to school because on an average day it’s a fight to go. So finally after about 20 minutes, I decided to load the kids and drive Jake to school, because he was so excited. We arrived early and waited in the front foyer area for the teachers to come get him. Jake and Ellie messed around with each other and played for a bit. Teachers came and got him and Jake walked all the way down the hall way to his classroom. When he got there he goes "Mrs. Karla guess what I have in my shoes" Mrs. Karla said "what do you have in your shoes Jake" Jake then takes his shoes off and dumps tons of gogo’s out of both his shoes. He had been walking on them this entire time and none of us had noticed. |
