Dave and I watched “Everybody’s Fine” Last night. I cried like a baby. It was a great movie to remind you to hold your children and family close. Maybe not the best movie to watch as your child is battling a brain tumor, but still it was a great reminder of how strong and close my family is.
I also posted some of the awesome auction Items on the website www.loveforellie.com Just click on the Auction link and you will see some of the stuff we have for the Auction and Basket Raffles. If you have donated anything to Terri I do not have that information. If you email me I can post it on the webpage. Please Email me details and if you have a picture, it’s ok if you do not have one. [email protected] Everytime I hear of a new donation I get Chills of how people have come together to help my family. And none of this would be possible without Terri O’Neil my guardian Angel. Thank you to everyone who has pitched in to make this difficult time for our family a little less difficult. It has been so nice to be able to focus on something other than our Doctor appointment on Feb 7th. I must thank everyone who has brought gifts by for Ellie. At this point Ellie has everything and anything she needs. If you want to do something for Ellie please attend the fundraiser on Feb 11th and Bid on items. There are some really awesome items that are coming in. Everyday I check my email and find another person is donating something for the Auction. It gives me such great joy to hear this. Ok now onto our girl Ellie, Today she had her first two hour speech therapy appointment. Although she was so tired after this appointment I am so proud of her progress to date since her last surgery. I think back to a couple days after her surgery and watching her take her first steps, that was more exciting watching that then when she truly took her first steps at 13 months old. And right after surgery when she asked for something to drink, it was like hearing her talk for the first time but a thousand times better. I remember the kid’s specialist at the hospital talking to Ellie and explaining the surgery to her, and them asking her are you scared. Ellie said “No, but I’m starving can I eat now”. Ellie’s response brought tears to my eyes because I was scared to death, but yet she was such a strong girl. We have been on an incredible rollercoaster, one that I wish not to go on ever again. I have been so blessed with two of the most wonderful children in the world. And blessed with so many supportive people in my life. I just hope that someday I will be able to give back what everyone has given me. Everyone is such an inspiration to me. A simple thank you just doesn’t seem like enough but at this time it’s all I got so Thank You…. I also wanted to mention that www.loveforellie.com is averaging 540 hits daily. WOW.. THAT’S AWESOME.. |
